Here in Australia most of our Native trees are Eucalypts, which are of course Evergreen.
The only Autumn leaf colour is therefore from plants introduced from other countries.
We do, however have the most gorgeous bark colours.
In Autumn many of the Eucalypts, particularly in the higher elevation regions of the Southeast, shed their bark to reveal gorgeous colours on the new bark underneath.
Some shed their bark in small stripe, and others in fairly large sheets.
The colours are particularly vibrant when the bark is wet after rain.
I hope you enjoy seeing these photos of some of them at their best.
